My career has been dedicated to improving the health of people and communities, especially our most vulnerable.

 

I am a life long scientist-practitioner-advocate.

I have worked in creative and leadership capacities for community agencies providing services to children and teens from historically racialized backgrounds and growing up in lower income communities.

I have partnered with organizations servicing marginalized peoples, to provide psychological evaluation and intervention services related to social determinants of health and historical systemic issues.

I have partnered with community groups to conduct targeted physical activity and health outcome/prevention research. I have published peer-reviewed academic papers in these areas.

I established a health behavior clinical service for preschool aged children and their families in Rhode Island, incorporating behavioral medicine, Play Therapy and child development.
